Zhang Guangping, Master of Science, Department of Physics, Beijing Institute of Technology, has nearly 15 years of experience in technologies, sales, marketing, and business development of the display panel industry. He is currently the sales and business development manager of Coherent Inc., responsible for sales and business development of Coherent Inc. in the Chinese FPD market.
He previously worked in display panel companies and material companies such as Tianma Microelectronics and Merck. He was familiar with the industry chain of display panels and upstream and downstream materials and equipment, consumer electronics market, as well as laser applications in FPD and electronic product manufacturing.
Summary of the Speech
Display technology continues to innovate, and mobile phone displays continue to develop in the direction of flexibility and foldability. Flexibility, foldability, and 5G fast data transmission all give mobile phone devices more functions and higher efficiency. In addition, some new display technologies have appeared one after another. Low power consumption, ultra-high resolution and other characteristics of them are more suitable for applications in AR/VR and ultra-large high-definition cinema, etc.
Under this trend, laser technology has played a vital role in the manufacturing of displays, such as “perfect cutting” of flexible OLEDs, laser patterning, and LTPS laser annealing, etc. The use of laser process can save some wet chemical processes to achieve green manufacturing. Coherent Inc. is committed to the development of the FPD industry. It optimizes the manufacturing of display panels with its advanced laser products and technologies, and realizes the development and mass production of new display technologies.
